 With a proper set up 15% or more materials can be saved from less rebound using the dry gun systems. This is due to the fact that if the concrete material is all ready hydrated and it can absorb water easier than when it is dry. With better water mixing at the nozzle the material will bond to the surface that it is applied to (No dry patches). Think about the days when you dropped water on to a bone dry dirt surface and it just beads up on top and does not go down. Then if you took the same amount of water and put it on to the a wet dirt surface it would absorb the water all most as fast as it is applied.
